Warehouse Operator

Job Type: Full time, non-exempt, hourly

Job Description

The Warehouse Operator is responsible to provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping, and receiving warehouse products including interactions with suppliers/partners. The Warehouse Operator will also implement safety regulations and checking packaging for quality assurance.


  • Read and interpret work orders daily
  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts
  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • Communicating with Supervisors and Peers— Providing information to supervisors, coworkers, in written form, e-mail, or in person
  • Handling and Moving Objects — Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating items
  • Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources
  • Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams with swivel-hooks, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, or stack material
  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete deliveries
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material or products for transport to designated areas
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight or other production data on tags or labels
  • Check forklift settings before operating
  • Inform supervisor/department lead of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem
  • Complete all required paperwork and record keeping (type and amount of stock used, amount of pieces completed, duties performed, etc.)
  • Ensure work area is kept clean, organized and safe during and at the end of shift
  • Eliminate or report any and all safety hazards
  • Adhere to all company rules and regulations
  • Adhere to company quality standards
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience operating powered forklifts
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs
  • Public Safety and Security — Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of product
  • Ability to stand, push, pull, and bend for an eight-hour work shift
  • Possesses a positive solution seeking attitude
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form
  • Attitude of “Safety first” by being proactive in general
