"61% of our staff shows a low risk profile. However, 39% scored in a range that warrants attention. These are precisely the people who would likely not have done this health check without a workplace initiative — and for them, this day truly made a difference."
Why It Matters
Diabetes is preventable. And prevention begins with awareness
Type 2 diabetes is one of the most widespread chronic conditions, often completely silent in its early stages. Knowing your risk profile is the first and most crucial step to taking timely action.
Why diabetes is hidden (but must be sought out)
- Type 2 diabetes can remain entirely symptomless for years before visible signs emerge
- Millions of people live with a diagnosis, while countless others are estimated to be undiagnosed
- Early detection drastically reduces complications, including cardiovascular, renal, and vision issues
- With small adjustments to daily lifestyle habits, risk levels drop significantly within the first few months
What changes with proactive screening
- Anyone scoring in the "slightly elevated" or "moderate" range now knows it is worth consulting their doctor
- The 26 individuals at moderate risk now have valuable, actionable data to step in before a real issue develops
- Even those who scored low received practical advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle
- Awareness is, in and of itself, a vital preventative measure
How Risk Grows with Age
Cross-referencing age groups with risk scores highlights an expected but important pattern: moderate risk is concentrated within the 45–64 age brackets — precisely where prevention is most urgent and early intervention is most effective.

70 people

Over 64

The most significant share of moderate risk cases is concentrated in the 45-54 and 55-64 age groups: 11 cases (45-54) and 9 cases (55-64).
