Art as a Catalyst for Change: Clerprem Brings Gender Equality to the Stage

On March 27, 2026, students from the De Pretto Technical Institute in the Schio area gathered at the Teatro Pasubio for a performance that left no one unmoved. Schegge – Please, Don’t Call Them Men, produced by Rainbow Musical Company and based on the book by R. Menegato, confronts gender-based violence, discrimination, and harmful stereotypes through a direct, contemporary theatrical language — designed to reach and challenge young audiences.

The event was promoted and sponsored by Clerprem, a manufacturing company whose leadership firmly believes that art is one of the most powerful tools available to drive lasting cultural change.

A Stage for What Matters

The choice of theater as a medium is deliberate. Clerprem’s leadership believes that certain messages — to truly land — must be perceived rather than read. These stories need to be heard in a protected space, carried by an actor’s voice, felt in a moment of shared silence. Theater builds empathy. It opens spaces for reflection that ordinary communication rarely reaches.

“Schegge” does exactly that: it brings stories of oppression and gender discrimination to life in a way that resonates with the professionals, colleagues, and leaders of tomorrow — the young people sitting in that audience today.

From the Industry grounds to the Community: A Commitment Beyond Company Walls

For Clerprem, gender equality is not a communications exercise. It is a value actively cultivated within the organization — through policy, training, and a culture of respect that runs across every level — and one that the company now chooses to extend into the territory where it operates.

Bringing this performance to the schools of Schio (Vicenza) is a direct expression of that commitment: ensuring that the values shaping company life become shared assets for the wider community.

Clerprem also partnered with the De Pretto Institute to host Tracce d’arte e voci di donne (Traces of Art and Women’s Voices), a temporary art exhibition originally curated in-house and inaugurated at Clerprem’s headquarters in Carrè on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The installation was subsequently displayed at the school, reinforcing the message that art is a vehicle for genuine cultural transformation.

"Art has the power to shift perspectives. If the goal is cultural change, what better vehicle than art itself?"

A Growing Network of Responsible Companies

The initiative extended beyond Clerprem, with other local businesses choosing to co-sponsor the event — a signal that awareness of these issues is growing across the regional business community. The collaboration between companies around shared social and cultural goals is itself a model worth replicating

Building Bridges Between Industry and Education

This event is part of a broader vision: bringing the world of industrial manufacturing closer to the world of education, and building real connections between companies and technical schools in the area. Clerprem positions itself not as a passive donor, but as an active promoter of values and culture — a partner in shaping the next generation of professionals.

The Journey Continues

March 27 was not a one-off. Clerprem has long maintained a structured commitment to gender equality, expressed through internal initiatives and — as this event demonstrates — through actions that look well beyond company boundaries. Because authentic cultural change does not come from declarations. It comes when a company, a school, a theater, and a community choose to come together and listen to the same story.
